NYACK COLLEGE NCAA COMPLIANCE
WELCOME TO THE NYACK COLLEGE NCAA COMPLIANCE PAGE
The task of the Nyack College (NC) compliance office is to ensure that coaches, staff, and student-athletes remain in compliance with NCAA Division II rules on a day-to-day basis. The coaches, staff, and student-athletes at NC have a fundamental respect for doing what is right and taking pride in their adherence to NCAA rules. The compliance staff strives to provide answers to questions within 24-48 hours, depending upon the complexity of the question and whether consultation with the conference office or the NCAA is necessary.
The mission of Nyack College's (NC) Compliance Office shall be to efficiently conduct the business of NCAA compliance as directed by Nyack College, the NCAA and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). A basic purpose of the athletic compliance office is to maintain the institution's integrity in the area of athletic compliance and to assist the athletic department in maintaining intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the educational program and the athlete as an integral part of the student body.
Each individual involved in intercollegiate athletics is obligated to maintain competency with respect to knowledge of the rules; to act within his or her realm of responsibility in full compliance with the governing legislation; and to report any violation of NCAA, conference and/or institutional rules of which he or she is aware.
