Imran Ritchie Leads Warriors with 19 points in Road Loss to Caldwell Cougars
The Nyack College men's basketball team traveled to take on Caldwell University on Tuesday night, as the Warriors fell to the top-ranked Cougars in a 59-79 loss. Nyack dropped to a 6-11 conference record, while they are 6-18 in overall play. 

The Warriors enjoyed the better start into the game jumping to an early 6-0 lead with 17:50 to go. Nyack would continue to add on to their lead extending it to 11 points with the score at 19-8 at the 12th minute mark. But Caldwell would anser with a 13-0 run to take their first lead of the game 19-21 with 6:14 on the clock. Both teams battled back and fourth throughout the remaining minutes of the first half, but the Warriors would keep the upper hand with three successful three-pointers in the final minutes of the first half to finish the first period with a two-point lead, 30-28. 

The second half started promising with a made Carl Balthazar layup. However, Caldwell thought otherwise and started a 3-34 run to take control of the game. With a 27-point lead in store the Cougars slowed down which alloed Nyack to eventually work down the lead to 20 points. The game would eventually finish with a final score of 59-79 in favor of the Cougars. 

Senior Imran Ritchie led the Warriors offense with 19 points shooting 63% from the field, while also setting up his teammates six times. Deandre Osuigwe also finished the game with double digit points at 13. Twelve of his 13 points came from behind the arc where he finished the day with 4 for 8 shooting. Carl Balthazar continued to stand out defensively with two blocks, two steals and three defensive rebounds.
