Men's Soccer Takes Tenth Place in CACC Preseason Coaches Poll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Nyack College Men's Soccer team was selected 10th in the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) preseason coaches poll that was released by the conference office on Monday.

Wilmington University was voted into first place with 160 points and 8 first-place votes. The Wildcats are followed by Post in 2nd (146 points, 1 first-place vote) and the reigning CACC Champion Bloomfield in 3rd place (131 points, 2 first-place votes). The remainder of the league was voted as follows; Philadelphia University (125, 1 first-place vote), Dominican College (117 points), Concordia College (NY) (96), Chestnut Hill College (92). Caldwell University (73), Georgian Court University (63), Nyack College (62), Goldey-Beacom College (53), Holy Family University (45, 1), and Felician University (19).

The Warriors - who received 62 points - return 17 players from the 2015 squad, including junior midfielder Francois Legoedec (Etreville, France) who was ranked 2nd in the conference in assists (12). Nyack finished their 2015 campaign with a 4-7-1 CACC and 5-10-1 overall record.

The Nyack College men's soccer season opens on Thursday, September 1, with a 7:00 p.m. contest at Bridgeport University. The complete results of the 2016 CACC Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll are provided below.
