Men's XC open season with second place finish at Wilmington Invitational

RESULTS

Wilmington, Del. - Four top -10 finishes helped the Nyack College men's cross country team claim second place at the Wilmington Invitational 8k.

Junior Ian Mirtile led the men's team and placed 3rd overall with a time of 28:39 in a field of 55 runners. Sophomore Joseph Girard added a 6th place finish (29:46) while Sophomore Zachary Trador placed 8th (30:27). Senior Mateusz Gacik finished in 9th place (30:27) and Junior Thomas Trot rounded out the scoring runners in 11th place (30:39). Sophomore Danson Kirwa had a strong showing with 27th place (33:23) as did Sophomore Kelvin Kiprop who placed 30th (34:27).

The Warriors will return to competition on Saturday, September 10th, for the Philadelphia University Metropolitan Invite hosted by Philadelphia University, to preview their conference course at Belmont Plateau.
