ORANGEBURG, NY (April 13, 2013)

Lady Warriors fell to The University of the Sciences Women's Softball Team 9-0 in five innings and 1-0 the second game.

Game 1:

Usci came out swinging and were able to shut the game down in 5 innings 9-0.

Game 2:

The Lady Warriors fought from start to finish in game two allowing the Devils their only run in the second inning on a walk to start.

That runner moved to second on an infield ground out, then scored on a pair of wild pitches made by Freshman, Christine Kline.

Nyack had two hits in the first 4 innings. A single hit by senior, Taylor Brown and a double hit by freshman, Tori Flemming.

In the fifth, a single was hit by freshman, ElyAnna Rivas and a double by Brown. They were left in scoring position with a strikeout and an infield groundout on the next two batters.

A single hit in the 6th inning by Flemming and a single by junior, Tesla Murillo in the 7th were not enough to allow the Lady Warriors to come out on top.

Nyack Softball returns to action on Monday, April 15th for a non-conference doubleheader against University of Bridgeport, which was originally cancelled on Friday, April 12th due to rain.

First pitch is set to start 1&3pm at the South Orangeburg Little League Field in Orangeburg, NY.
