DOBBS FERRY, NY- Warrior Softball split a doubleheader played on the road against Mercy College where Nyack captured the win in game one by a final score of 13-9. The Mavericks would fight back in game two to take home the 12-2 win in five innings.

How It Happened:
Game 1 
Nyack would hold the Mavericks at bay as Sinanaj hit a grand slam to take their largest lead of the game at 11-3.  Mercy made up some ground in the third and fourth two Mavericks recorded RBI's, while another smacked a solo homerun to center.

The Warriors scored two more runs in the fifth, before mercy doubled to make up some ground when the final out was made. Warrior Yano picked up the victory, while Maverick Pundick struck out four in a loss. 

Game 2
The Mavericks came out with something to prove in the nightcap, as they scored 10 of their 12 runs in the first two innings. Nyack was able to get two across the plate in the fourth on back-to-back RBI's. Mercy held a 10-2 lead. The Mavericks scored two insurance runs in the home half of the fourth on two Warrior errors to seal the 12 -2 win.
