Nyack Softball opened its 2017 Spring Break Trip with two games yesterday morning. The Lady Warriors lost game one 7-2 to Michigan-Dearborn, before they dropped game two 3-0 to Ursuline College.
Game one saw Michigan moved ahead by five runs in the second and third inning. They would add another run in the top of the sixth to make the score 6-0. Nyack would get on the board with two runs of its own in the bottom of the sixt when Katie Lupinacci singled to center field, which allowed Alissa Brugnoli and Katalina Padilla to score. Michigan would score another run in the top of the seventh to seal th 7-2 win over the Warriors.
Game 2 saw Ursuline college take the early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, before scoring another two runs in the bottom of the third to make the score 3-0. Both teams were unable to score any runs in the remaining three innings and the game ended with a final score of 3-0.
Nyack will return to the field today when they will face Indiana Wesleyan University at 9 am and Le Moyne at 2 pm.
