Softball Defeated by Bloomfield College Bears

Bloomfield, NJ - The Nyack College women's softball team dropped both games to the Bloomfield College Bears in a CACC doubleheader played on Thursday afternoon. 

Game One

The Warriors scored first in the top of the first inning, when Alissa Brugnoli scored on a wild pitch, Aferdita Sinanaj scored of a Stephanie White steal attempt. 

Bloomfield would answer with a scored run in the bottom of the second, before the Warriors reestablished their old lead by scoring another run in the top of the third. Brugnoli scored of a Sinanaj double to left field, 3-1. The Bears answered with four runs in the bottom of the third to take their first lead of the day and scored another run in the bottom of the fourth to conclude the scoring of game one, which ended with a final score of 6-3 in favor of the Bears. 

Game Two 

Bloomfield would jump ahaed and score five runs in the bottom of the first. Nyack would score two in the top of the sixth when Katie Lupinacci homered with Alissa Brugnoli on base, 5-2. 

But the Bears answered with two runs of their own to get their five-run lead back. The game finished with a final score of 7-2. 

Up next: The Warriors will go on to host the Goldey-Beacom Lightning this Saturday at the Orangetown Little League Complex. First pitch is slated for 1:00 pm.
