RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Nyack College women's basketball team suffered a tough road loss against the Felician University Golden Falcons on Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium, 58-70. With the loss the Warriors drop to 2-7 and 1-4 in CACC play.
Felician completed the first period with a 16-10 lead, but the Warriors came back to tie the score at 20-20 with four minutes, 12 seconds, left in the opening half. The next Felician possesion would finish with a three-point field goal that gave them the lead they would never relinquish. The first half finished with a score of 33-27 in favor of Felician.
Nyack tallied the first points of period three on a Janae Bailey putback to pull to within 33-29, but that is the closest the Warriors would come on the scoreboard for the rest of the day. Felician would pull ahead and assume a 12-point spread with 1:28 left in the third.
Nyack trailed the Golden Falcons by 12 points at the end of the third quarter. The Warriors were unable to close the gap during the fourth quarter. The Felician margin hovered between eight and 13 points for the entire fourth period.
The Warriors will be back in action next Saturday when they host Malone University at 1 pm.
