Rochester, NY - The Nyack College women's lacrosse team lost its road match to the Roberts Wesleyan University Redhawks 21-3 on Thursday afternoon. The loss drops the Warriors' record to 0-5.
Roberts Wesleyan would score twelve times in the first 23 minutes of the game jumping to a comfortable 12-0 lead, before junior Victoria Silvers would score the lone Warrior goal of the first half with 6:40 left. The Readhawks would add another one right before half time to make the score 13-1.
Roberts would extend their lead to 19-1 in the second half before Hailey Newell would score her first collegiate goal at the 10:40 minute mark of the second half. The Redhawks would answer with a goal of their own a minute later, 20-2. Victoria Silvers would score her second goal of the day with 9:23 left in the game, 20-3. The Redhawks would add one more with three minutes to go. The game eventually finished with a final score of 21-3 in favor of the Redhawks.
Nyack will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Molloy. The game is set to start at 12pm.
