Lady Warriors Score First Goal in Road Loss to Mercy

Dobbs Ferry, NY - The Lady Warriors dropped to Mercy college in a 4-1 battle. They would finish with the first goal of the season. 

The Maverick's started off strong with possession in the first ten minutes of kick off. They managed to capitalize on that with a goal by Corrina Ferrante shot from outside the box and sailing over Nyack's Keeper. Following that, the Mavericks took a shot at goal but Warriors Keeper, Greta Enloe made the save. She finished the first half with five more saves to keep the Mavericks at a 1-0 lead. 
 
In the second half, Mercy took five shots on the Warriors before sinking one in and leaving the score at 2-0. The Warriors fought hard to work up the field but the Maverick's struck again to have the 3-0 lead. The Lady Warriors refused to have a no goal game as they found themselves at the corner with a kick by Jessica short. The Lady Warriors, Avery Chance, assisted the first team and individual goal of the season to Alexia Misset. This 3-1 game quickly became a 4-1 game as the Maverick's scored the last goal to seal the Victory in the second half. 
 
The Warriors will host their first home and conference game on September 12th. Kick off begins at 7:00pm against Post.
