Women's Soccer Shuts Out Clippers to Earn Home Victory

Orangeburg, NY– The Nyack College women's soccer team hosted the Concordia College Clippers on Thursday afternoon at the OMM Soccer Complex. The game was scheduled as a make up of yesterday's game which was rained out. Nyack earned their second win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Clippers and improve to 2-5-1 and 2-2-1 in CACC play.

GAME SUMMARY:
The Clippers enjoyed the better start into the game firing several shots towards the Warriors net. Nyack slowly found its way in the game and created several opportunities. With four minutes left in the first half a Avery Chance cross found Abisag Ramirez who fired the ball past the Clippers' goalkeeper. Nyack defended well in the second 45 minutes and kept the Clippers away from their goal to earn the victory on the day. 
 
KEY PERFORMERS: 
Abisag Ramirez scored her second goal of the season and freshman goalkeeper Nicole Benesch earned her first career shutout with six saves.
 
COMING UP NEXT:
Nyack will square off with the Georgian Court University Lions on the road on Saturday at 1:00pm for another CACC contest.
