Antalek Scores FIrst Collegiate Goal in 1-0 Win Over Chestnut Hill

Nyack, NY - The Nyack College women's soccer team hosted the Chestnut Hill College Griffins on homecoming day for a CACC match on Saturday afternoon. The games were moved to Nyack High School due to the poor conditions on Moseley Field. Nyack won the game with a final score of 1-0.

THE BASICS:

GAME SUMMARY:
Both teams battled back and forth in the first 45 minutes with the Griffins outshooting the Warriors by 12-9. However, it was Nyack who got up first on the scorebaord with ten minutes to go in the first period. The Warriors were awarded a penalty which freshman Chloe Antalek converted for the 1-0 lead. 

The Warriors continued to defend their slim margin throughout the second half, but lost Avery Chance due to a red card with 11 minutes to go in the game. The playing field was leveled again when Chestnut Hill also lost a player to a red card with two minutes remaining in the game.

KEY PERFORMERS:
Chloe Antalek scored her first collegiate goal and freshman goalkeeper Nicole Benesch saved all of the 12 shots she faced in the contest.

Nyack will be back on the road on Tuesday to travel to Post University for a 3pm CACC match.
