Women's Volleyball Finishes Weekend 1-1

NYACK, NY– The Nyack College volleyball team competed in two conference matches on Friday and Saturday. The Warriors would travel to Bronxville, NY, to defeat Concordia College 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-22) before dropping a 0-3 (15-25, 23-25, 16-25) match on the road against Holy Family University.

Concordia 0, Nyack 3

Megan Ma'afala-Maiava led the Warriors with a team high 6 kills, while adding six digs. Kelsi Collins chipped in 18 digs and Jillian Smith (12) and Kaitlyn Massey (14) helped orchestrate the offense with a combined total of 26 assists. Nyack hit .074 in the match with 28 kills and 37 digs.

Holy Family 3, Nyack 0

Five Warriors chipped in with four kills each. Kelsi Collins and Kaitlyn Massey chipped in with 13 and 10 digs, while Massey also added 18 assists. Nyack hit .009 in the match with 24 kills and 47 digs.

The Warriors will be back in action this upcoming Wednesday, October 5, when they host the Bloomfield College Bears in a conference match-up. The match will start at 7pm.
