Men's Basketball Adds Three More to Their 2019-20 Squad

Nyack, NY - The Nyack College men's basketball team and head coach Valiant Jones are proud to announce the addition of Thomas Nolan, Austin Toomalatai, and Luis Escobar to the 2019-20 men's basketball roster. 

Thomas Nolan is a 6'3 transfer guard from Trumbull, Connecticut and has previously played for Fairfield University. Thomas was an All-State First-Team selection (Class LL) in 2015 after securing All-State Second-Team accolades as a junior. He secured the SCC Tournament Most Valuable Player award in 2014. At Fairfield Prep, he posted a 25-2 record and captured their first state LL championship since 1997. Thomas will bring great energy and tons of experience to our team.   
     
  Austin Toomalatai is a 6-4 transfer guard/forward from Carson, California and will join the Warriors from the LA Southwest Junior College. During  his time in California he posted an average of 10 points, three rebounds, and 1.5 assists a game. Austin holds the single season record at LA Southwest with 70 three point field goals made in a single season. He is a fierce competitor and will bring a great work ethic to our team.
     
Luis Escobar is a 6-2 guard from Pembroke Pines, FL and joins Nyack from Broward County Junior College. He averaged 7 points, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 rebounds a game. Luis helped win two district championships (2014, 2015) and one regional title (2015). He was named All-Broward County honorable mention all four years at McArthur by Sun-Sentine and was also selected to the Regional Big 8 All-Tournament team. Luis will bring toughness and leadership to our team.
