The Nyack College men's soccer team faced off against Chestnut Hill in their first conference away game. The Warriors fought hard throughout the game but lost momentum towards the end losing the game with a final score of 2-5.
The first half started off with a shot from Chestnut Hill at a time of 2:37 which was then blocked by goalie Jose Perez Piqueras. Shortly following, Chestnut Hill had the opportunity to score on a corner kick and succeeded scoring the first goal of the game at a time of 13:33. The Warriors came back fighting and scored their first goal of the game by Javier Fernandez at a time of 21:02, tieing up the scoreboard. Before the end of the first half Chestnut Hill secured two more goals, one of which was a penalty kick, ending the first half with a total score of 1-3.
The second half started with a shot by Mitchell Reed but was saved by the Griffins goalie. Nyack's offense fought to take a shot that found the back of the net, and after having four more shots on goal, Joshua Schliesing secured their second goal of the game with a shot to the left corner of the goal at a time of 67:30. Chestnut Hill came back and scored another goal at a time of 75:01. The Griffins rounded up their scoring with another goal with 19 seconds left on the clock.
