The Nyack Women's Soccer team faced off in their first away conference game against Chestnut Hill College. The Warriors played steady throughout the game securing the win with a final score of 4-1.
In the first half of the game there were no shots taken on goal until a time of 9:26 when Nyack's Shanice Rapp took a sot that was blocked by the Griffins goalie. The Warriors followed up with four more attempts within a four minute period. Chestnut Hill had two opportunities to score on two corner kicks but were not able to find the back of the net. It wasn't until a time of 36:55 that the first goal of the game was scored by Nyack's Camila Parada assisted by Avery Chance. Chestnut HIll came back fast and scored their first goal of the game at a time of 38:54. Nyack was able to pull out two more shots on goal but was not able to secure any goals ending the first half tied 1-1.
In the second half of the game both teams traded off on shots but neither team was able to put the ball away until a time of 70:26 when Nyack's Zion Dewerff who passed for one-on-one with keeper. Chestnut Hill then earned themselves a foul as well as a yellow card which resulted in a penalty kick for Nyack where Shanice Rapp found the back of the net securing Nyack's third goal of the game. The Warrior's final goal of the game was a shot scored to right corner by Zion Dewerff assisted by Shanice Rapp at a time of 80:34. Chestnut Hill was unable to create anything promising for the rest of the time ending the game with a win for the Warriors.
